Oh and I draw my own comics, I guess.

Ever since I was a kid there were two things I’ve wanted to do. Telling stories and drawing. Whether I was playing with my action figures or Legos, or scribbling monsters, robots, and skeletons on copy papers, there was some kind of story behind them in my mind. There were many influences throughout the years, but what got me into drawing comics is all thanks to a children’s book author/illustrator, Dav Pilkey and his “Captain Underpants” series. The books centered around two main characters, George and Harold, who were two trouble-making kids who drew their own series of comics, one of them being the titular “Captain Underpants”. More shenanigans ensues, but reading that influenced me to draw my own Captain Underpants comics and eventually evolved into drawing comics based on my own characters. By “my own characters” a lot of comics from then were very derivative of whatever I was watching on TV at the time, or just flat out plagiarism because I was a baby boy and didn’t know any better. Either way this set me early on as a kid that I wanted a career in drawing comics.
